the good, the bad and the braces.

the good.
i am sitting in the denver airport on the first leg of the grand northern california RV adventure. we are flying to san francisco, renting an RV, and driving northern california for 2 weeks. no i haven't seen that RV movie with robin williams. that has been typically the first question people ask and the look and laugh that follows is starting to make me nervous. what could go wrong?? ;) i am going to get to meet up with old new friends, meet my first pretend blog friend, and hopefully make a few new ones in random sketchy RV parks. california dreaming. i packed books, card games, my vintage wool blankets and a magnum PI dvd set.  it's going to be a great vacation. :) ps.. i have a house sitter so don't bother robbing me. thanks.

the bad.
grayson peed on his underwear in the airport bathroom just for fun. he also just got his head stuck in an airport chair. we had approximately 4 hours of sleep last night and i can't stomach spending five dollars on airport coffee. the free coffee they had on the plane had no lid and only powdered creamer. um.. ick.

the braces.
i got braces. try not to be jealous. my dentist made me. he said i was getting old and my jaw was getting firmer..and something about my bite needing to change. isn't that nice? as you age your jaw bone, of all places, gets firmer. how about my tushie?? yeah.. not getting firmer. thanks. so i am about to meet my first pretend blog friend and the goal was to turn her into a real friend and i can't really say anything that starts with an F without maybe spitting a little. that could get awkward fast. she's a pastor's wife so she must be really nice. and understanding. and gracious of the fact i have to carry a to go toothbrush at all times. i now understand why teenagers are surly. braces are the opposite of fun.

so i have to go find new underwear for a little boy and attend to the baby who is so overtired that she is screeching and dive bombing my chest like a little kamikaze.
we are a pretty good time if you like the circus. :)

  3. I took an rv trip through Vermont with my family this summer. My kids thought it was the best vacation ever. Me? Not so much, but the memories are priceless.
