blizzard bring it.

who's ready to get their blizzard on??

all that pink and red.. it's so valentines-ey. :)
i can't complain... i did get a mild sunburn two days ago... in a tank top and shorts.

there is something primal about scurrying off to the store to stock on essentials.
as much as you hear people complain there is a sense of anticipation.
activities get canceled, families stay home, mother nature throws you a curve ball and you rearrange.

i am rearranging and heading off to the store with 3 bundled little ones...eyes wide with the news of the big snowstorm coming.
list in hand we will check off provisions. diapers, hot chocolate, and a new card game.
check, check, check. :)

  1. Wow! Maybe I should go visit my parents if I want some snow! My kids were outside and playing on the swing set before 8am! Enjoy the snow for me! I miss it!!

  2. I feel the same way. Bring on the snow, bring on the stuck at home in our pjs with our fire going, something in the oven, curled up to a family movie! If I hear someone complain, I might just have to have some words with them, cause really people? My kids can't even wear the snow pants I bought them on sale last year anticipating this Winter, and so far...nothin! I celebrate the snow like you Lauren. It's fun to have a friend who embraces it too! Love ya.

  3. We had a good snow about every 7-10 days last winter. This year? Nothing. So sad. I think the most we have gotten is 5 inches. This is New England for crying out loud! Where is the snow?

  5. Stay warm! Your provisions sound perfect. Did you get carrots for a proper snowman nose? I always forget that part.

Also, would love to know how to e-mail you to fill you in on our Green Gables story.

    Have a lovely, snowy weekend!
