you've been to italy if...

you've been to italy if:

1. you have pictures of yourself in ridiculous poses with a leaning tower.... and you got a big kick out of the hundreds of other people doing the exact same pose at the exact same moment.

 

 

2. you have done florence in the rain

3.under much stress you have successfully tracked and photographed 'the cats of rome' for your 4 year old daughter who is intent on recreating a picture board of  'madeline and the cats of rome'.

4. you have been awed by the sheer size of st. peters cathedral

5. you truly believe you might be able to live on good coffee and bruschetta for longer than is probably a good idea.

6. you have taken illegal pictures from the inside of your bag of the sistine chapel ceiling and the david while avoiding the watchful eyes of the guards and the threats of ... i'm not sure...?art jail?

7. you have taken a drink from a questionable water fountain

8. you thought the map room at the vatican was the most under rated un-heard of sight you saw

9. you took the slooow train up the coast and the fast train through tuscany

10. you were kissed italian style (cheek and then cheek and  then i think this guy added a few cheeks just for fun) at a road stand by a man who then made you eat an unidentifiable large bean

(hey it happened-- so it counts) :)

and because that is strange and a little creepy how about a smooshy baby picture to end on a high note...

for all these reasons and a million more --- i loved our trip and would go back in a heartbeat!
