last weekend we made a '100 days of summer' list as a family.
grayson wants to visit a a new park,
ari wants to grow our hair looonnng and get pictures taken with a buffalo,
daddy wants to finally FINISH the kitchen,
and mommy wants to smile each time we check something off our list...
how we want to spend our summer...
the memories we will chase.
can you believe there are only about 100 days of summer??
it is so interesting to me the way your sense of time changes as you get older... when you are a child
100 days seems like it lives next to eternity...
but for me now-- when i look at our calendar ... it feels like it will be september tomorrow. i don't like that.
one of the BEST things about being a mommy... is i get to try and regain that perspective i had as a child. i am trying to let each day unfold as it comes... to stop for dandelions, take lunch outside as much as we can, kick our shoes off, let the ice cream drip on our clothes and clean up with a trip down the slip and slide.....
after all....
summer only comes once a year.
and luci is pretty excited to see her first one....
