i have some serious high roller friends. i get invited, on a pretty regular basis, to some high-swank affairs. take for instance an afternoon not too long ago...
i was told to wear my best jewels... i was not told to look semi pregnant in this picture. that was just a bonus.
the guests had some pretty high expectations of what a 'fancy' tea consisted of... to aid us in that endeavor there were only english accents allowed. everything sounds fancier when you speak like the english. i wonder if they use american accents when they want to sound like slobs. probably. how embarrassing.
our hostess admitted in a spot on english accent none the less "i don't really care for tea, but i do like drinking things out of faaancy cups, so i like tea parties." honesty is always the best policy.
the paparazzi was everywhere...
it's hard keeping up with all these grand events i get invited to. but really... my social life has never been better. :)

You are such an amazing mommy! I love love how you go ahead and get out the fine china and let her have her go. Abigail soo soo soo loves this and it's gotten to much harder with all the boys around the house. Boys are so much harder on fine China. We did this a lot when she was Ari's age, but she still loves it.
ReplyDeleteLove all the adorable pictures.
Are you going to put your blog into a book every couple of years? I've thought it might be a good way for me to get my "scrapbooking" done.
thanks melinda! it is fun..:) i have been researching as kind of a pet project how to do my own book binding...and i am going to, at some point, print it out and bind it up. this is my only scrapbooking! i have loved letting go of the thought of being a 'scrapper'... it just was never me. this suits me perfectly and will make great memory books for the kids. :) yeah-- no guilt! :)
